Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) for Constable, Any Degree for Sub Inspectors or its equivalent examination recognized by the State Government as on the date of notification i.e., July 29, 2026. Candidates with higher qualifications are also eligible.
Age Limit (as on July 1, 2026)
- General Category: 18 to below 22 years
- SC & ST Candidates: Additional 5 Years (with relaxation)
- Additional 5 years relaxation in upper age limit for uniformed services as per government rules
Special Requirements
- Fire Fighter posts require a valid LMV driving licence
Selection Process
- Preliminary Written Test (PWT) – Objective-type exam, 200 marks, 3 hours duration
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – Height, chest measurements
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 1,600m run for men, 800m run for women; long jump and shot-put
- Final Written Examination (FWE) – Four papers
- Certificate Verification – Document verification
- Medical Examination
Note: There is no Preliminary Written Test for Driver, Mechanic, and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Fingerprint Bureau) posts. Candidates for these positions directly appear for PMT/PET.
